It was teachers’ Day in PL and everyone were all very excited to pass gifts and letters to our teachers, not forgetting the teachers’ day concert too!
Just about one week back before teachers’ day, Jess, Weilin, Eliz, Eileen, Gwen and me went down to IKEA to hunt for presents for our beloved literature teacher, Mrs Stubbins. Well, it was acutally Eileen’s beloved teacher rather. She had this huge liking for her ever since she taught us so she decided to get her something really special on teachers’ day. Of course, as her good friends, we chipped in money and spent time making her presents also. We bought a cake from Mrs Fields, lots of chocolates, a huge white container and made a huge card too, just for Mrs Stubbins! After buying all the materials, we went to Eileen’s house and started working on the present. While doing it, we got so excited that we even started to rehearse about what to say to Mrs Stubbins when we see her on teachers’ day. I tell you, the most excited person was Eileen! She kept laughing and got so nervous when thinking about what to say to Mrs Stubbins.
So on teachers’ day, we got our presents ready and set off to look for Mrs Stubbins in the staff room. When we saw her, we asked her to come out for a while. No doubt, she was very suprised upon receiving our gifts for her. I guessed she never had imagined we would give her such a huge present (It was not as if she was our form teacher you see). Well, all of us could see she really liked the present and probably is the best present she received that day! Haha. Then, we saw her receiving many presents from her other students also. Nevertheless, Eileen insisted that Mrs Stubbins liked our present the most! At the very least, I could see that Mrs Stubbins was appreciative. Therefore, it made us feel that our effort had been paid off!
This was probably one of the biggest thing I’ve done for a teacher for teacher’s day. Even our form teacher, Mrs Teo, didn’t receive such nice present from us. Actually, my class did something nice for Mrs Teo before also. During that time, she was pregnant with child and had just gone through delivery. So my whole class made a huge board with all our “get well soon” and “congratulations” letters pasted on it. However only after a weeks, we found out that the nicely-done cardboard lying at some deserted corner in school. My class felt really disappointed! So since she wasn’t appreciative of what we had done for her, we decided not to put in so much effort for her presents ever again.
Hmm. How I miss secondary school days now!

I think you missed the point of this assignment. This entry simply explains the picture. You’re supposed to create a piece of fiction.
